TripPA’s 2025 Milestone: App Launch
After six months of research and design in 2024, followed by focused development into 2025, we were thrilled to complete the first version of the TripPA platform mid-year. Once robust internal testing was complete, we released our mobile apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and made our web app available here at app.trippa.net.
Seeing our concept move from idea to a working product was incredibly rewarding, and was celebrated with a few glasses of bubbles with the team!
Welcoming Our First Schools
Of course, what good is an educational visits app, if no-one is using it? Moving into the autumn term, we began onboarding our first partner schools, and it was inspiring to see such enthusiasm from fellow educators.
We’re particularly grateful to our early adopters for their trust and feedback, which has been invaluable. Thanks to our data partner, Wonde, integrating with the different Information Systems used by schools has been simple, making onboarding smooth and efficient for schools.
Real Trips, Real Students
And then, the day we’d been looking forward to since 2023 happened…TripPA was used on its first real school trip, with teachers relying on the app in the field! Teachers told us it made school trip planning easier, simplified approvals, and kept key information accessible while out and about.
We’ve also received suggestions from our users about small tweaks which will improve teachers’ experience, and have already been able to put some of these into our recent updates. Seeing TripPA genuinely support teachers in real-world trips has been a proud moment for our team!
Building for Schools
We’ve also had really useful conversations with our partner schools about what challenges they face with school trip management, and how we can help.
For example, taking registers for large groups has often been tricky, whether using paper or other digital tools. Teachers want to filter by class, year, or group, which isn’t easy! In response, as part of our new Registers feature, we have built in functionality that allows trip and group leaders to take custom registers directly on our mobile app.
At TripPA we have a commitment to development based on real school needs, helping teachers manage trips more efficiently.

We wouldn’t be able to achieve everything we have this year without you. Looking Ahead to 2026
2025 has been a year of firsts, and we can’t wait to build on this momentum in the coming year! We look forward to welcoming more schools into the TripPA family, supporting more trips, and helping teachers tackle challenges with innovative new tools.
One feature we’re particularly excited about is our new Risk Assessment tool, which will simplify one of the most important (and most difficult) aspects of school trip management for teachers and school staff. On that note, we still have a research survey open, so do fill it in if you have 5 minutes and some thoughts on risk assessments for trips!
